Does the LOOK Assessment offer the test in another language? Answer: Yes, the tool is available with a choice of either English or Spanish. A simple button allows the clinician to choose which language to use. Question: Who can the LOOK Assessment be used on? Answer: The tool was designed to be simple and intuitive with touch screen technology. Research reliability and validity has been completed on adult males and females. Additionally, high-functioning intellectually-disabled people were included in reliability studies. The test is explained to clients by the clinician and has simple dialog boxes to aid in directions; however, the tool is regularly used with adults who cannot read. The tool is also used on juveniles, experimentally. Currently no research has been completed on the LOOK assessment with juveniles. Many programs are using the tool for “informational purposes” with juveniles and there is research suggesting viewing time tools are appropriate to use with juveniles. Question: How is the LOOK Assessment administered? Answer: The LOOK Assessment is an iPad application. Clinicians can use any iPad2 or newer. No data is stored on the iPad. The tool is a subscription and users get unlimited use for one year. Question: How can a clinician use the LOOK Assessment for evaluation and treatment planning? Answer: The LOOK Assessment provides client self-report and objective data using ipsative scores in a complete report. All the data is provided to the clinician within about one minute of the test being taken. The LOOK Assessment offers training through videos and consultation on how to interpret results. Question: Who can administer the LOOK Assessment? Answer: Clinicians licensed in their respective states are eligible to administer the LOOK Assessment. Answer: When a new subscriber orders the LOOK Assessment, training videos are provided. Videos offer a wealth of information about how the tool is designed and how to use it. Additionally, information is provided on how to interpret the ipsative reports. Consultation with the LOOK Assessment team is also available. These consultations can be done by a phone call or an email. Question: Does the LOOK Assessment provide customer service? Answer: The LOOK Assessment team works hard to respond to questions.
